IGP Civil Defense held meeting with B.B.I.A.
Jammu, April 27: Sh. Naveen Agarwal IGP Home Guards/Civil Defence & Auxiliary Police alongwith Sh. GuIzar Singh Salathia IPS DIG HG/CD & Aux. Police Jammu & Mrs.Manjit Kour alongwith other civil defence officer held an Awareness programme on Disaster Management with Bari Brahamana Industries Association (B.B.I.A) and J&K SIDCO in BBIA Bhawan, Baribrahmana on 27th April 2006.
Sh. Navin Agarwal stated that their first step would be to integrate the disaster plans of various industrial units and prepare a plan for the whole of Bari brahmana area. The primary concern is to keep people safe and also should be able to collectively respond to any disaster. For this a Civil Defense Post is being created in the area and training camp will be held shortly. With a aim to train at latest 300 people for the disaster management.Gulzar Singh Salathla, DIG also spoke on the occasion.
The Proceedings and vote of thanks was conducted by Sh. Sanjay Mehra General Secretary of BBIA and the others who attended and spoke on the occasion were Sh. Lalit Mahajan, Vice President BBIA, Sh.R.K Kotwal, Sr.Manager SIDCO, Sh.Riaz Ahmed Dar, Estate Manager Sidco. The Visiting Officers also answered various queries of the entrepreneurs.
