Food poisoning in a Jammu locality

 

Jammu, June 14: In the intervening night of 12/13-06-2006 at 2315 hrs regional Civil Defence Control Centre Jammu received a message from Suraj Singh, Civil Defence Post Warden. Bagh –i-Bahu Jammu where under he informed that in the vicinity of Bagh-i-Bahu a large number of children and adults are complaining severe Abdomen pain and frequent vomiting after they consumed local Ice cream in the late evening.

The Post Warden further requested that Civil Defence Ambulance may be dispatched towards the Bagh-i-Bahu area immediately so that affeceted people be taken to the Hospital.

At once the Civil Defence Rescue party and Civil Defence Warden Service was dispatched towards the Bagh-e-Bahu area where from all the ill/affected children and Adults were carried to SMSG/GMC Hospitals in the Civil Defence Ambulance for their immediate medical treatment. Dy.chief warden Param Jeet Kumar also reached the affected vicinity and took part in carrying out of the patients to the Hospital.

As per direction of Sh. Navin Agarwal ,IPS Inspector General of Police, Homeguards/Civil Defence J&K, Dy.Chief warden ,Sh. Vinod Malhotra, Sh. Param Jeet Kumar and other Civil Defence wardens under the command of Mrs. Manjit Kour, KPS, Dy.Controller Civil Defence Jammu visited the hospital and interacted with the patients, their families and hospital administration and assured the affected people for every possible help from the Civil Defence organisation also expressed thanks to all the people who helped the ill/.affected people in carrying the patients to the hospital in time and saved precious lives of 100 people.
