Passing out parade at Central Training Institute Jammu
February 3rd: New batch of 145 Homeguards volunteers who underwent 35days Basic training course at Central Training Institute of Homeguards and Civil Defence Jammu, passed out successfully today on 3rd February 2007.
Sh. Navin Agarwal Inspector General of Police Homeguards/Civil Defence & Aux. Police J&K Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. He took salute and later on also distributed certificates and cash rewards among the Homeguards volunteers for their outstanding performance in various disciplines of training:
1. G/M Sikander Kumar No.69/Jammu(First Position)
2. G/M Mohd Akbar No.19/Rajouri (Second Position)
3. G/M Uttam Singh No.108/Doda (Third Position)
4. G/M Sonu Kumar No.135/Kathua (Third Position)
Chief guest in his address congratulated the VHGs on passing out and expressed hope that they will contribute towards the betterment of society as a true volunteer & keeping the spirit of “Nishkam Sewa” alive. He also said that their demands are under active consideration of the Government and decision should be hopefully taken shortly.
Sh.S.M.Khatotra Divisional Commandant Homeguards highlighted the working of CTI and various courses conducted for Homeguards and civil defence volunteers besides special courses for Aux. Police & J&K Police personnel.
Sh. T. Phunsog, Commandant Auxiliary Police 2nd Bn. Jammu formally welcomed the chief guest and other distinguished guests on the occasion.
Sh. Mohd Majid Malik Dy.SP Principal of CTI Jammu presented vote of thanks while Sh. Paramjit Kumar Divisional warden civil defence gave the live commentary of the function.
