Civil Defence organized an awareness camp at Samba

 

Jammu, August 28th: Civil Defence Samba organized a colorful and impressive function in connection with one day awareness camp at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Samba on August 24, 2007 in which Sh.Navin Agarwal, IPS Inspector General of Police HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the function expressed happiness and satisfaction for holding such awareness camps/functions. He emphasized upon the need and importance of awareness in context of disaster management and other civil defence activities. H also distributed prizes amongst many district officers and talented school children.

The gathering was also addressed by Dy.Commissioner Samba and Sr.Supdt. of Police Samba who also highlighted the role of Civil Defence.

Earlier, in his welcome address Sh.J.B.Singh Dy.Controller Civil Defence Samba highlighted various achievements of civil defence samba during the last three years. More than 1000 students from various schools besides a large number of local people participated in this function. The entire warden service of civil defence town samba including Chief warden, Dy.Chief warden, Post wardens, and sector wardens were also present on this occasion. Besides Ms.Manjit Kour, Dy.Controller Civil Defence Jammu various other police officers also participated in the function.
