Shri Amarnath Yatra-2011 arrangements reviewed by Dr. Ram Lubhaya, IPS ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K during meetings convened at Jammu, Samba & Udhampur

Jammu, June, 17th: The main aim of the meetings was to review the arrangements for Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra 2011, commencing w.e.f. 29-06-2011. Besides other the Civil Defence activities like providing first aid, rescue and facilitating Yatris during Shri Amarnath Yatra in the District Jammu, Samba and Udhampur were also discussed.

Among others Shri Sham Lal Sharma, IPS DIG HG/CD & Aux. Police Jammu, concerned Dy. Commissioners-cum-Controllers Civil Defence, Dy. Controllers and Civil Defence Wardens were also present on the occasion.

While addressing, Dr.Ram Lubhaya, IPS ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K directed the Civil Defence Warden services to remain extra vigilant during Sh. Amar Nath Ji Yatra 2011 and asked then to assist the District Police/ administration in order to make the Yatra more successful in which a large number of pilgrims from all over the India are coming for ‘Darshan’.

ADGP stressed the Dy. Controllers of respective CD Towns to gear up Civil Defence activities in their respective towns in order to make the organization more strong. He also stressed the Civil Defence Wardens to spread awareness about Civil Defence and encourage more volunteers to join Civil Defence.

Dy. Commissioners-cum-Controllers Civil Defence while speaking on the occasions assured the ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K that every effort will be made to make the Yatra peaceful and successful. Civil Defence Wardens also assured the ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K for providing full co-operation from the Civil Defence organization to the District Police/Administration during Sh.Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2011.
