Smt. D.R. Doley Barman, IPS ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K Convened Civil Defence Meeting With Wardens at RCDCC Jammu

 

Jammu, January, 18th: A meeting of Civil Defence Wardens of Jammu Province was held on 17-01-2012 in the Conference Hall of Regional Civil Defence Control Room Jammu under the chairmanship of Smt.D.R.Doley Barman, IPS ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K. During the meeting, Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, IPS DIG HG/CD & Aux. Police Jammu, Gh.Sarwar Chouhan, SSP Commandant Aux. Police 2nd Bn., Ranbir Singh Manhas, SP Staff officer to ADGP HG/CD J&K, Dy.Controllers and Civil Defence Wardens were also presented. After the preliminary introduction all the participants were welcomed to the interactive session. Stress on the basic role of Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force as well as to acquaint the general public for taking precautionary measures during any Natural calamity and Manmade eventualities to minimize humane casualties and loss to public property was emphasized. The participants were also stressed that Civil Defence activities should be carried out in a healthy and positive manner and each and every member of the Civil Defence organisation should have self introspection while thinking as to what we have achieved in the past and what we are going to achieve in the near future. During the meeting, Civil Defence wardens/ Dy.Controllers put forth their genuine grievances/ suggestions for which ADGP Smt.D.R.Doley, IPS gave on spot directions.

Sh.Jugal Mahajan, Chief Warden Civil Defence Jammu assured that all out co-operation/ co-ordination and support will be extended for the noble cause i.e. in running the Civil Defence activities in Jammu region smoothly.

On the conclusion of the meeting, Smt.D.R.Doley, IPS ADGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K thanked the participants and advised them to gear-up their activities at rural/ Muffasil level in their jurisdiction and try to involve more and more civil populace in Civil Defence activities. And were also apprised that three months CD target plan has already been devised and out of 1500, atleast 500 ladies must be enrolled as CD volunteers by the concerned Dy.Controllers.
