HOMEGUARDS/CIVIL DEFENCE VOLUNTEERS AND SDRF PERSONNEL HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED FOR SHRI. AMARNATH JI YATRA DUTY-2015 AT SRINAGAR AND JAMMU

A large number of HG/CD volunteers and SDRF personnel alongwith GOs/NGOs have been deployed for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Duty at various important places in Kashmir i.e Nunwan, Chandanwari Sheshnag, MG Top, Poshpatri, Panjtarni, Baltal, Brarimarg, Sangam & Holy Cave and at Jammu Province i.e. Lakhanpur, Chhan Arorian, Chichi Mata Temple Samba, Base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, Chenani, Jakhani Udhampur, Batote and Ramban. Sh.Amarnath Ji Yatra commenced from 02-07-2015 and will be concluded on 29-08-2015. All the SDRF teams who have undergone specialised Courses in Disaster Management have been deployed with well equipped rescue equipments and tents, First Aid Boxes with first aid material, sleeping bags, oxygen cylinders, shovels, pick axes, ropes, blankets etc. to tackle any eventuality.

Moreover, SDRF rescue vehicles and ambulances have also been deployed round the clock at base camps Baltal, Phalgam and Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. A mock drill exercise has also been conducted by SDRF personnel at base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on 29-06-2015 in which Sh. Piyush Singla, IAS Addl. Deputy Commissioner Jammu was present and reviewed the arrangements of Shri. Amarnath Ji Yatra -2015.



ONE DAY TOT ON BASIC LIFE SUPPORT WAS ORGANIZED UNDER THE AEGIS OF DIRECTOR GENERAL ISM & H.

One day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Basic Life Support was organized under the aegis of Director General ISM & H at the conference hall of Govt. Unani Hospital Shalteng Srinagar on 7th April 2015. Post graduate doctors (Ayush) across the valley participated in the one day training programme. DYSP Security Mrs. Nighat Aman presided over as the chief guest and Dr. Sayed Ashaq, Dy. Director ISM as guest of honor.

The guests and participants were welcomed by the Dr.Javid Mir I/C officer GUHS. He said it can help the people suffering from choking, drowning, cardiac arrest and it can make the difference between life and death for some people.

On this occasion chief guest appreciated this initiative of AYUSH department and encouraged them to extend such training programmes to common people. She said keeping in view the vulnerability of our state to multiple disasters such programmes at community level will help the people in preparedness and mitigation. Disasters cannot be done away with, but destruction from them can be lessened through appropriate measures.

Dy.Director gave an account about the infrastructure and activities of AYUSH doctors. Dr.IPS Bali, CD warden a national trainer in first aid and BLS demonstrated the different techniques of causality management. All the trainees appreciated the session and organizers viz Dr.Farooq,Dr.Anayat Mir and Dr.Masoor.


SDRF PERSONNEL TRAINED IN SWIMMING AND BOAT ROWING AT SRINAGAR

On the recommendation of Commandant SDRF 1st Bn, an expert team from Civil Defence Srinagar imparted training in swimming and boat rowing to State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel of 1st Bn. Srinagar at SKICC Ghat, in Dal Lake Srinagar. The training was imparted by Javaid Tinda, CD Warden alongwith Sajad Hussain Mattoo and Mohammed Akbar, CD Volunteers. The training also facilitated by QRT Nehru park including Incharge Mushtaq Ahmed, Zahoor Ahmed, Mukhtyar, Ishtiaq Hussain, Jan Mohd, and Pervez Ahmed. The 15 days training course was started w.e.f. 6th May 2015. The trainees were encouraged by Sh.Abdul Wahid Commandant SDRF 1st Bn. and Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Aamir Ali, (also Secretary, J&K State Social Welfare Board). The CD trainers are expert swimmers and rowers as they hail from Dal area. A large number of SDRF personnel participated and got trained in this training camp. The training would help them at the time of emergencies, and respond to any type of disasters.


 

SDRF ORGANISED WATER RESCUE PRACTICE SESSION AT BAJALTA JAMMU

SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu organised water rescue practice session at Bajalta in river Tawi w.e.f. 10-05-2015 to 14-05-2015 under the supervision of Sh.Stanzin Norboo, SSP Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu. During the session, all SDRF personnel including administrative staff/tradesmen of the Bn. Hqrs. were put in water rescue practice and taught basic swimming and diving techniques by the experts so that their services could be utilized during any disaster.


CIVIL DEFENCE ORGANIZED TRAINING AT SCHOLAR’S SCHOOL, DARA HARWAN

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police, Civil Defence, HG and SDRF Dr B Srinivas, five days Disaster Preparedness training programme was organised by Civil Defence Srinagar at Scholar’s School, Dara Harwan w.e.f. 11-05-2015 to 15-05-2015. The training was inaugurated by Deputy Controller Civil Defence Srinagar Mohammed Shafi in presence of Deputy Chief Warden CD Aamir Ali. The training was imparted by CD trainers, Ghulam Nabi, Javeed Ahmed, Reyaz Ahmed and Showket Ahmed and was supervised by ASI (M) Shabir Ahmed Khan. The training was attended by Principal Mir Tariq Maqsood, Incharge programme Ajaz Ahmed Lone and Khurshid Ahmed Butt alongwith more than 100 students and staff. During the camp, the participants were imparted basic training in First Aid, Fire Fighting, Search and Rescue. Besides the students will also be imparted special training as first responders. Speaking on the occasion, Aamir Ali implored the students to learn these life-saving skills, so that their skills could be utilized at the time of any disaster.


CIVIL DEFENCE ORGANISED AWARENESS CAMP AT HAZRATBAL SRINAGAR

On the occasion of Friday following Mehraj-un-Nabi (SAW), a first-aid camp and a stall for serving refreshments, was set up by Civil Defence Srinagar at Hazratbal Srinagar w.e.f. 16-05-2015. During the camp refreshments were served by Civil Defence Volunteers. They helped the old and infirm pilgrims and also assisted Traffic Police in Management of Traffic. The CD Volunteers were led by ASI(M) Shabir Ahmed Khan and were encouraged by Mohammed Shafi Bhat, Dy.SP Deputy Controller CD Srinagar.


CIVIL DEFENCE ANANTNAG ORGANISED AWARENESS CAMP

Civil Defence Anantnag organised one day awareness camp in collaboration with Govt. Degree College Anantnag on Civil Defence/Disaster Management at Conference hall on 19.05.2015. The camp was inaugurated by Prof. M.Y. Peerzada Principal GDC for Boys Anantnag in which the Riyaz Ahmad Shah Dy.Controller CD Anantnag highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster. During the camp, about 120 students and teachers participated and were acquainted with activities of Civil Defence and Disaster Management.


CIVIL DEFENCE JAMMU CONDUCTED 05 DAYS BASIC TRAINING CAMP

Civil Defence Jammu conducted five day CD basic training camp at SOS Home Channi Himmat, Jammu w.e.f 29-05-2015 to 04-06-2015. Around 27 students attended the training programme and imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, training cheques were also distributed among the students who have undergone the training. On the valedictory function Sh. Amrish Khajuria, Secretary and Urmil Khajuria Principal SOS Home requested for imparting such training programme in future also. At the end of programme, Smt.Tajinder Kour,Dy.SP Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu convinced the students to join the Civil Defence to serve the nation. The programme was organised by Santosh Magotra, Divisional Warden Division No. 04.Among others Sh.Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden (now), Sh.Alok Nanda, Deputy Chief Warden (now) and SOS staff members were also present.


CD/SDRF KULGAM CONDUCTED A MOCK DRILL EXERCISE AT QAZIGUND

A mock drill exercise was conducted at the Railway Tunnel Qazigund by CD/SDRF Kulgam on 06-06-2015. A large Public gathering of local Police /CRPF/RPF and Army witnessed the mock drill exercise. During the exercise it was realized that how much time is consumed for effective response in case of any eventuality.


CIVIL DEFENCE SAMBA ORGANISED BLOOD DONATION CAMP

CD Samba in collaboration with Ind Swift Laboratories Limited organised Blood Donation Camp at Ind Swift Laboratories limited SIDCO Samba on 18-06-2015. On the occasion Sh. Pawan Sharma KAS Addl. District Development Commissioner Samba was the Chief Guest. While speaking on the occasion Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence Samba and Ind Swift Laboratories Samba for organising such Blood Donation Camp. During the camp about 62 factory workers voluntary donated their blood to save the precious lives. Sh. Ashutosh Sharma Dy. SP Dy. Controller Civil Defence Samba and Sh. Ravinder Balsotra , plant Head of Indo Swift Laboratories were also present on the occasion and were stressed upon the participants to take part in such type of camps enthusiastically. Among others Sh. Anil Kumar Verma Plant Head, Sh. Romesh Bhardwaj HR Head, Balbir Khajuria Executive HR and SI Sanjeev Kalsi were also present on the occasion.


CD/SDRF POONCH RESCUED CIVILIANS AND THEIR CATTLE DURING FLASH FLOOD

Civil Defence and SDRF team Poonch conducted rescue operations in river at Bawli & Kalai Poonch on 25-06-2015. During the rescue operations, six civilians and their nine cattle who were trapped in flash flood were rescued safely by the CD/SDRF rescue team. Moreover, CD/SDRF team also conducted rescue operation at Timra Mandi on 21-06-2015 when a Tata sumo trapped under flash flood. The rescue team recovered two dead bodies and rescued one injured person safely from flash flood while dead body of a child was recovered by the team after nineteen days of the incident.


SDRF UDHAMPUR RESCUED INJURED PERSONS DURING ROAD ACCIDENT

On 08-07-2015, SDRF rescue team stationed at Jakhani Udhampur during SANJAY duty conducted a rescue operation where a Maruti car met with a road accident at Chanani. Rescue team launched a rescue operation and evacuated four injured persons and recovered three dead bodies from a deep george with the help of CD/SDRF equipments. Moreover, SDRF team also launched a rescue operation at Kali Mata Mandir near Jakhani on 21-07-2015 where an Army Vehicle collided with truck in which an army driver was safely rescued by the SDRF/ VHGs personnel with the help of rescue equipments who was trapped badly during the accident.


CD/SDRF ANANTNAG CONDUCTED RESCUE OPERATION AT KOKERNAG DURING FLASH FLOOD

Joint Rescue Operation was conducted at Adigam Kokernag on 12.07.2015 by SDRF Anantnag, District Police and Army in which four persons were trapped namely Ali Muhammad Bhat R/O sagam K.Nag, Hilal Ahmed R/O sagam Kokernag, Gowhar Ahmed R/O Ahlan Gadool and M. Shafi Naikoo R/O Halsidar Verinag were rescued safely.


CIVIL DEFENCE/SDRF KATHUA CONDUCTED RESCUE OPERATION

CD/SDRF team Kathua on receiving information from PCR Kathua on 22-07-2015 that a young girl has been drownd in Ujh canal near Kishanpur (Chhan Arrorian). The rescue team reached on the spot and launched rescue operation. Rescue team conducted rescue operation about two days and recovered the dead body of the girl from the canal near Chandva Morh having age 18 year old namely Bandana Devi D/o Sh. Omparkash R/o Kishanpur Kandi. Moreover, dead body of 10 years old girl was also recovered by SDRF team on 30-6-2015 who was drowned in Ujh canal near Chhan Arorian. Further, on 03-04-2015 CD/SDRF rescue team Kathua with the help of local Police rescued nine civilians from flash flood who were trapped in Ujh river during flood and on 10-07-2015 rescued 31 labourers who were trapped at Tarnah nallah near Hiranagar during flash flood.


SDRF SRINAGAR CONUCTED RESCUE OPERATION NEAR BALTAL

The SDRF team headed by Sh. Habibullah Dy. SP deployed at Base Camp Baltal was mobilized immediately for conducting rescue operations and to evacuate the effected inhabitants / yatries to safe places during a cloud burst at Gagan-geer sector near Baltal on 24th July -2015. Besides a heavy landslides slumped at Sonamarg Highway resulting in blockade of National Highway. A team from SDRF component Ghanderbal and a SDRF team from Bn. HQ Srinagar along with necessary equipments were also deputed to Sonamarg/Baltal to assist the administration and clear the landslide immediately.


CIVIL DEFENCE IMPARTED TRAINING TO NCC CADETS

Civil Defence Srinagar organized one day Disaster preparedness training cum demonstration camp at Rangreth, Srinagar on 30-07-2015. During the camp, about 350 NCC cadets participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and Disaster Management skills. Moreover live demonstration on rescue operations were also conducted by the Civil Defence/SDRF personnel on the occasion. Besides others Brigadier S. Ratna Parkhi, Group Commander NCC Srinagar, Col Manoj Kumar, Capt. Pritpal Kaur, Shabir Ahmad ASI(M), CD Instructor Gh.Nabi, Aijaz Ahmad & Post Warden Saqib Khushoo were also present on the occasion.

  • Civil Defence Kathua: Civil Defence Kathua organised about five awareness camps in Kathua at various places i.e. at Sports Stadium Hiranagar w.e.f 09-04-2015 to 10-04-2015, at ETT Rainbow College Kathua on 22-05-2015, at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Kathua on 30-05-2015, at Civil Defence office Kathua on 11-06-2015, at IRP 19th Bn. Hqrs. Changran Kathua on 15-06-2015 and at SDRF Kathua w.e.f 23-06-2015 to 02-07-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/civilians and police personnel participated and were briefed about the disaster management and role of civil defence during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts under the guidance of Dy.Controller CD Kathua.
  • Civil Defence Akhnoor: Civil Defence Akhnoor organised thirteen awareness camps in CD town Akhnoor at Little Flower School Akhnoor on 10-04-2015, at Bomal Akhnoor on 16-04-2015, at Ward No. 13 Akhnoor on 23-04-2015, at Raja Bazar Akhnoor on 04-05-2015, at Ward no. 06 Akhnoor on 14-05-2015, at Ward no. 09 Akhnoor, at Krangi Akhnoor on 03-06-2015, at Ward Gopala Akhnoor on 15-06-2015, at Ward no. 11 Akhnoor on 22-06-2015, at Ward no. 8 Akhnoor on 27-06-2015, at Ward No.9 on 03-7-2015, at Ward No.5 on 20-7-2015 and at Bharda Kalan Akhnoor on 28-7-2015.

    During these camps, a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and training i.e. fire-fighting, first-aid and rescue operations by the CD / SDRF instructors. Moreover, CD town Akhnoor also organised five days CD training camp at Ward No.13 w.e.f. 08-7-2015 to 14-7-2015 in which 45 CD volunteers were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first-aid, snake bite and rescue operations by the experts.
  • Civil Defence Sunderbani: Civil Defence Sunderbani organised three awareness camps in Sunderbani at CDPO office on 25-05-2015, 26-05-2015 and 24-07-2015 in which a large number of members of that social welfare office participated and were acquainted with importance of Civil Defence and disaster management by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, CD Sunderbani also organised two awareness camp one at S.S.V.N Degree College Sunderbani on 17-06-2015 and another at Govt. High School Thanda Pani Sunderbani on 09-06-2015 in which about 250 students participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • Civil Defence Udhampur: Civil Defence Udhampur organised four awareness camp in Udhampur at Devika Mandir Complex Udhampur w.e.f 14-04-2015 to 16-04-2015 on eve of Basaikhi Mela, at Village Moungri Udhampur w.e.f 15-05-2015 on the eve of Mougri mela, at Sudh Mahadev Udhampur w.e.f 01-06-2015 to 03-06-2015 on eve of Sudhmahadev Mela and at DC office Udhampur on 08-05-2015. During these camps a large number of civilians participated and were acquainted with role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts.
  • Civil Defence Nowshera: Civil Defence Nowshera organised five awareness camps in CD town Nowshera at Panchyat Halqa Chowki on 01-04-2015, at Govt. High school Lam on 29-05-2015, at Govt. High School Qilla Darhal on 30-05-2015 at Govt. High School Laroka Nowshera on 09-06-2015 and at Govt. High School Ganiah Nowshera on 12-06-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence and disaster management by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, CD Nowshera also organised refresher course for Civil Defence wardens/volunteers at CD town Nowshera w.e.f. 23-06-2015 to 02-07-2015.
  • Civil Defence Kishtwar: Civil Defence Kishtwar organised eight awareness camps in district Kishtwar at Dedpeth Kishtwar on 03-04-2015, at Chingam Kishtwar on 10-04-2015, at Padyama Kishtwar on 20-04-2015, at Dhar Saroor, Kishtwar on 27-04-2015, at Vimal Nag Kishtwar on 28-04-2015, at Bandrana Kishtwar on 04-05-2015, at Sarkoot Kishtwar on 07-05-2015 and at Trigam Kishtwar on 09-05-2015. During these camps a large number of local people participated and were briefed about civil Defence trainings like fire fighting, first aid and rescue operations. Moreover, CD/SDRF Kishtwar also organised joint refresher training course on disaster management at DPL Kishtwar on 12-5-2015, on 02-06-2015 and 25-07-2015 in which CRPF/JKP/IRP personnel participated and were imparted awareness cum training of first aid, fire fighting, rescue operations to be conducted during disaster. Moreover, SDRF Kishtwar also conducted rescue operation during land slide at village Dhool (Hanger pora) on 02-04-2015 where various houses damaged due to heavy rain. SDRF Kishtwar with the help of local Police evacuated five families from the landslide effected area.
  • Civil Defence Doda: Civil Defence Doda organised three awareness camps in Doda at Govt. Higher Secondary School Ghat Doda on 29-06-2015, at Govt. Hr.Secondary School Khallani on 09-07-2015 and at Halqa Panchayat Bhagwah Doda on 11-7-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilian participated and were acquainted with CD basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts.
    Civil Defence/SDRF team conducted rescue operations at Dewalkund Desa Doda on 04-04-2015 during land slide and at Gilginder Doda on 15-04-2015 where an Alto car met with an accident in which about seven persons were evacuated from debris and injured were shifted to district hospital Doda. Moreover, CD/SDRF team also conducted rescue operation at Bathri Kahra Doda on 20th and 21st June 2015 where an Alto car met with an accident in which driver of the vehicle could not be traced.

    Civil Defence Samba: Civil Defence Samba organised 14 awareness camps in Samba at village Sordi Samba on 07-04-2015, at Balori Samba on 09-04-2015, at Utterbehni Samba on 15-04-2015, at Paper Brahmna Samba on 20-04-2015, at Chak Bolma Rajpura Samba on 27-04-2015 , at Village Sajalpur Ramgarh on 07-05-2015, at village Dunai Sumb Samba on 12-05-2015, at village Dewaka Sumb Samba on 21-05-2015, at RSS Sang School Arazi Samba on 23-05-2015, at village Rarian Vijaypur Samba on 06-06-2015, at Sun Pharma Factory Bari Brahmana Samba on 12-06-2015, at village Baguna Block Purmandal on 22-06-2015, at village Sargal Samba on 25-06-2015 and at village Chani Mansar Samba on 27-7-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the disaster management and role of civil defence during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts under the guidance of Sh.Ashutosh Sharma, Dy.SP Dy.Controller CD Samba. Moreover, CD Samba also conducted basic training camp at village Naran Muthi Samba w.e.f 20-06-2015 to 24-06-2015 in which 140 local people participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the experts. Civil Defence Samba also conducted two rescue operations during road accidents in Samba at Sidco complex Samba on 02-07-2015 and at Kalibari Border road Samba. The CD/SDRF rescue teams reached on the spot and launched rescue operation in which about 24 persons got injured were shifted to District Hospital Samba by the team with the help of local Police.
  • Civil Defence Rajouri: Civil Defence Rajouri organised nine awareness camps in district Rajouri at Panchyat Ghar Gurdan Paian Rajouri on 07-04-2015, at Hr. Sec. School Dharal Malka Rajouri on 15-04-2015, at Dadasan Balla Rajouri on 21-04-2015, at Panchyat Halqa Thanamang on 18-05-2015, at Tourism Camp Complex Darhal on 24-05-2015, at Panchyat Ghar Kheri Nowshera Rajouri on 20-05-2015, at Swami Ji College Sunderbani on 07-06-2015, at Civil Defence office complex Rajouri on 13-06-2015 and at S.S.V.N. Degree College. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence and disaster management by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover CD Rajouri also organised 10 days refresher course for CD wardens/volunteer at SDRF component Rajouri w.e.f. 11/7/2015 and five days basic CD training camp at Panchayat Ghar Darhal Malkan w.e.f. 20-7-2015 to 24-07-2015 in which about 30 civilians were imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD /SDRF personnel under the supervision of Dy.Controller CD Rajouri.
    Civil Defence/SDRF team Rajouri also conducted rescue operation at Dalogra Manwar Rajouri on 24-06-2015 during flash flood in which three persons were rescued safely from Manwar Tawi and also conducted rescue operation at Bela colony Rajouri on 23-07-2015 in which five persons were rescued who were trapped during flash flood.
  • Civil Defence Poonch: Civil Defence Poonch organised five awareness camps in district Poonch at Govt. Degree College Mendar Poonch on 08-04-2015, at Panchyat Ghar Mandi Ganai Mohalla on 26-05-2015, at Panchayat Ghar Fazlabad Surankote on 03-06-2015, at Govt. High School Chandimarh Surankote Poonch on 17-6-2015 and at Gursai Mendar Panchyat Ghar on 31-7-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and trainings i.e. fire-fighting, first-aid and rescue operations by the CD / SDRF experts.
    Moreover, SDRF Poonch also conducted rescue operation at Peer Panchal Mughal Road Poonch on 01-05-2015 during a road accident of Tata Suma. The two dead bodies were recovered from deep gorge by rescue team.
  • Civil Defence Reasi: Civil Defence Reasi organised six awareness camps in district Reasi at Govt. Middle School Jerri Reasi on 11-04-2015, at IRP 1st Bn. Hqrs. Reasi on 20-04-2015, at STC Talwara Reasi on 06-05-2015, at Panchyat Ghar Mari Reasi on 18-05-2015, at Panchayat Ghar Reasi on 12-06-2015 and at Panchyat Bakal Sasuawan Reasi on 31-07-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians / Police personnel participated and were briefed about civil defence and disaster management trainings like first aid, fire-fighting and rescue operation etc by the CD/SDRF experts.
  • Civil Defence Ramban: Civil Defence Ramban organised one day CD awareness camp at Chanderkote Ramban on 15-06-2015 in which about 150 people participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster. Moreover, Civil Defence Ramban also organised 10 days refresher course for Civil Defence Wardens/volunteers w.e.f 25-06-2015 to 04-07-2015.
    Further, SDRF Rescue team Ramban also conducted rescue operation during a road accident of a Bus on 12-04-2015. During the rescue operation 27 injured persons have been provided first aid and serious were shifted to District Hospital Ramban by the rescue team with the help of local Police.
  • Civil Defence Jammu: Civil Defence Jammu conducted thirteen awareness camps in district Jammu at Kabir Mandir High Court Jammu on 11-04-2015, at Higher Secondary School Janipur on 18-04-2015, at NCC camping Ground, Nagrota on 20-04-2015, at Pawan Saraswati High School on 27-04-2015, at R.N Tagore Hr. Sec. School Nanak Nagar Jammu on 28-04-2015, at Village Jhiri Jammu on 09-05-2015, at DBN Hr. Sec. School Mubarak Mandi Jammu on 13-05-2015 at Panjpeer Gole Puli Talab Tillo Jammu on 26-05-2015, at Jagti Kamni Nagrota on 28-05-2015, at Twish Hr. Sec. School Channi Rama Jammu on 29-05-2015, at Shazadpur Akalpur on 30-05-2015, SOS Home Channi Himmat Jammu on 12-06-2015 and at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on 29-06-2015.

    During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and disaster management techniques by the CD / SDRF instructors under the supervision of Dy.Controller CD Jammu.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Jammu also organised 05 days basic training camps in Jammu at Rajinder Nagar Ambedkar Bhawan w.e.f 01-05-2015 to 05-05-2015, at Doomi Akhnoor Forest Training School w.e.f 18-05-2015 to 22-05-2015, at DBN Hr. Sec. School Mubarak Mandi Jammu w.e.f 19-05-2015 to 23-05-2015, at SOS Home Balgran Channi Himmat w.e.f 29-05-2015 to 04-06-2015, at BEE ENN Hospital Jammu w.e.f 17-06-2015 to 23-06-2015. During these camps, about 200 students/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first-aid, fire-fighting and rescue operation by the Civil Defence/SDRF instructors. Demonstrations on rescue operations during disaster were also exhibited to the participants on the occasion.
  • Civil Defence Srinagar: Civil Defence Srinagar organised basic CD training camps in Srinagar at various places i.e. at Scholars School Natipora w.e.f 21-04-2015 to 28-04-2015, , at Hazratbal Srinagar w.e.f 16-05-2015 to 22-05-2015 and at Rainawari Srinagar w.e.f 25-06-2015 to 30-06-2015.

    During these camps, about 600 people participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD and SDRF instructors under the supervision of Dy.Controller Civil Defence Srinagar. On the occasions, Civil Defence demonstrations on various rescue operations were also conducted among the participants by the experts.
    Moreover, CD Srinagar also organised CD awareness camps in Srinagar at Khanyar on 19-05-2015, at DIET Bemina on 29-05-2015, at Hazratbal Shrine Srinagar w.e.f 27-06-2015 to 17-07-2015. During these camps a large number of people participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and its importance during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts.
  • Civil Defence Anantnag: Civil Defence Anantnag conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at ITI Anantnag w.e.f 20-04-2015 to 24-04-2015 in which 190 students participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD and SDRF instructors.

    Moreover, Civil Defence Anantnag organised eight awareness camps in Anantnag at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Kokernag on 12-05-2015, at ICDS Project Khovripora on 11-06-2015, at LORDS Paramedical Institute Harnag on 15-06-2015, at Govt.Hr.Sec.School Kullar Pahalgam on 25-07-2015, at Govt. Middle School Turkoo Tachloo on 28-07-2015, at Govt. Girls Higher Sec. School Qazigund on 29-07-2015, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Vessu on 30-7-2015 and at Govt.Higher Secondary School Nepora Anantnag on 31-07-2015. During these camps a large number of people participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and disaster management techniques by the CD/SDRF experts. CD demonstration were also conducted among the participants during these camps under the supervision of Dy.Controller CD Anantnag.
    Further, Civil Defence Anantnag also conducted 03 days Mock Drill Exercise at Pahalgam w.e.f 25-06-2015 to 27-06-2015. Moreover, Civil Defence Anantnag also organised 10 days refresher training course for CD warden/volunteers at Civil Defence Control Room w.e.f 29-06-2015 to 09-7-2015. During the course a large number of CD wardens/volunteers participated and were imparted refresher training course in Civil Defence and Disaster management by the experts.

    Civil Defence Baramulla: Civil Defence Baramulla organised ten CD awareness camp in Baramulla at Walraman Chandoosa Bla on 09-05-2015, at Khadyanar Baramulla on 16-05-2015, at Sheikh Colony Noorbagh Baramulla on 23-05-2015, at ITI Pattan on 01-06-2015, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Wagoora on 09-06-2015, at Veerwan Khanpora 22-06-2015, at NHPC Uri on 24-06-2015, at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School on 26-06-2015, at Govt. High School Ladoora on 04-07-2015 and at Govt. Hr.Sec.School Trengpora on 25-07-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and disaster management techniques by the CD / SDRF instructors under the supervision of Dy.Controller CD Baramulla.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Baramulla also launched two rescue operations first at Singhbagh Baramulla on 01-04-2015 and another at Rangi Pattan Baramulla on 03-04-2015.
  • Civil Defence Kulgam: Civil Defence Kulgam organised one day CD awareness camp at Adigam Devsar Kulgam on 20-05-2015 in which more than 100 people participated and briefed about role and importance of Civil Defence by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, Civil Defence Kulgam also conducted rescue operation at Brazloo Bridge on 20-04-2015.
  • Civil Defence Pulwama: Civil Defence Pulwama organised two CD awareness camps in Pulwama at Khrew Pulwama w.e.f 11-04-2015 to 13-04-2015, at Noorpora Tral on 04-7-2015 and at DIET Pampore on 20-05-2015 in which a large number of local people participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, Civil Defence Pulwama also organised five days CD training camp at DPL Awantipora on 22-7-2015 in which about 35 VHGs were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first aid and rescue operation by the experts.

    Civil Defence Bandipora: On 27-04-2015, CD Bandipora organised one day CD awareness camp at District Police Line Bandipora, during the camp 100 Police personnel participated and briefed about Civil Defence and Disaster Managemnet by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, Civil Defence Bandipora also organised basic training camps in Bandipora at ITI Bandipora w.e.f 06-04-2015 to 10-04-2015, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Bandipora w.e.f 20-04-2015 to 24-04-2015, at Islamic higher Secondary School garoora Bandipora w.e.f 07-05-2015 to 11-05-2015, and at ICDS Project Bandipora w.e.f. 19-05-2015. During these camps, about 500 students/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first aid and disaster management by the CD and SDRF instructors. Demonstrations on rescue operations were also conducted on the occasions by the experts.
  • Civil Defence Budgam: Civil Defence Budgam organised one day CD awareness camp at Civil Defence Control Room Budgam on 16-04-2015, at Girls Higher Sec. School Budgam om 14-5-2015, at Girls Higher Sec. School Ompura Budgam on 25-05-2015, at Govt. High School Khansahib on 08-06-2015 and at Lokipora Khag on 18-06-2015. During these camps a large number of students/NCC cadets/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and disaster management techniques by the CD / SDRF instructors. Moreover, Civil Defence Budgam also conducted 05 days basic training camps at Lokipora Khag w.e.f 18-06-2015 to 23-06-2015 and at Town Hall Muncipal Committee Magam w.e.f. 27-7-2015 to 31-7-2015. During these camps about 160 people participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors. Further CD Budgam also conducted 10 days refresher training course at CD control room Budgam w.e.f. 23-6-2015 to 02-07-2015 in which about 70 CD wardens/volunteers participated and were imparted refresher training in Civil Defence and Disaster management.
  • Civil Defence Ganderbal: Civil Defence Ganderbal organised one day CD awareness camp at Iqra Public School Arhamam Kangan on 28-04-2015 in which 90 students participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster.
  • Civil Defence Kupwara: Civil Defence Kupwara organised one day CD awareness camp at Panchyayat House Hangipora Kupwara on 15-04-2015 in which more than 100 civilian participated and were acquainted with CD basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • Civil Defence Kargil: Civil Defence Kargil conducted six CD awareness camps in Kargil at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Ackchamal Kargil on 16-06-2015, at Baroo Kargil on 18-06-2015, at TRC Kargil on 19-06-2015, at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Baroo Kargil on 21-06-2015, at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Drass Kargil on 23-06-2015, and at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Trespone Kargil on 25-06-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and trainings i.e. fire-fighting, first-aid and rescue operations by the CD / SDRF experts.
  • Civil Defence Leh: Civil Defence Leh conducted one day CD awareness camp at Dy. Commissioner Office Leh on 28-06-2015 in which a large number of civilians participated and were made aware about Civil Defence and its importance during disaster by the CD/SDRF experts.
