ACHIEVEMENTS OF HOMEGUARDS/CIVIL DEFENCE & SDRF J&K
(JANUARY 2015 TO NOVEMBER 2015)

ENGAGEMENT & TRAININGS/DUTIES OF HOMEGUARD VOLUNTEERS

During the period, 209 Homeguard volunteers were engaged in J&K Homeguard organisation and 495 Homeguards volunteers underwent Basic, Advanced, Refresher and capsule Training Courses at Central Training Institute of Homeguards/Civil Defence at Jammu and Kashmir. Moreover, 335 Homeguard volunteers were deployed on Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2015 at important places i.e. Baltal, Pahalgam, Sheshnag, Railpathri, Sangam, Nunwan, Chandanwari, Pissutop, Panjtarni, Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Chichi Mata, Batote alongwith SDRF personnel & Civil Defence volunteers on rotational basis. Besides 151 VHGs were deployed for traffic duty with Police at various places in J&K and about 90 VHGs performed Hajj Duty in Kashmir.


ENROLMENT OF CIVIL DEFENCE WARDENS & VOLUNTEERS

Civil Defence J&K enrolled about 424 Civil Defence wardens and about 9992 Civil Defence volunteers in various CD towns of J&K during the year-2015


CIVIL DEFENCE AWARENESS CAMPS CD DEMONSTRATIONS / MOCK EXERCISES

Civil Defence J&K organised about 451 awareness camps in various CD towns of the state in which a large number of civilian population were acquainted with the aims, objectives and importance of Civil Defence during disaster. Civil Defence J&K conducted 205 CD Demonstrations/Mock exercises in various CD towns in which live demonstrations on Fire-Fighting, First aid, Rescue operations from high buildings were exhibited. Besides about 151 Rescue operations were also conducted during landslide, floods, road accidents etc. by CD rescue teams in various CD Towns of the State.


CIVIL DEFENCE/DISASTER MANAGMENT TRAININGS

During the period, 148 training camps were organised in various CD towns of J&K in which about 9992 CD volunteers were trained in various Disaster Management techniques during disaster like Earthquake, Fire-fighting, Flood, First aid, shifting of casualty, Rescue operations from high buildings with the help of ropes and ladders etc. Civil Defence Wardens were deputed to NCDC Nagpur for attending “UMANG-2015, Excellence learning Awards & Wardens conclave” on 16-9-2015 and also deputed to attend “Regional Workshop (North)” at Jaipur Rajasthan w.e.f. 11-09-2015 to 12-09-2015.Besides, one CD warden has also undergone “06 Community Disaster Preparedness Training Course” at NCDC Nagpur w.e.f. 16-11-2015 to 20-11-2015.

CIVIL DEFENCE SRINAGAR ORGANISED RELIEF DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME AND INSTALLATION OF PRE FABRICATED SHELTERS TO FLOOD VICTIMS

Sh.Nisar Ahmed, Dy.SP Dy.Controller Civil Defence Srinagar alongwith other officers/officials during relief distribution programme and installation of pre fabricated shelters to flood victims at various places of J&K

On 13-12-2014, Civil Defence Srinagar organised relief distribution programme and installed pre-fabricated shelters for flood victims at Khandaypora, Gouripora, Rainawari and Saida Kadal.
On 16-02-2015, Civil Defence Srinagar organised relief distribution and installation of pre fabricated shelters for flood victims at Bemina, Parimpora and Srinagar in which 11 families availed the benefits of such programme. During the month of March 2015, pre-fabricated shelters were also provided to the victims at Poonch and Rajouri.



HOMEGUARDS/CIVIL DEFENCE VOLUNTEERS AND SDRF PERSONNEL HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED FOR SHRI AMARNATH JI YATRA DUTY-2015 AT SRINAGAR AND JAMMU

A large number of HG/CD volunteers and SDRF personnel alongwith GOs/NGOs have been deployed for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Duty at various important places in Kashmir i.e Nunwan, Chandanwari Sheshnag, MG Top, Poshpatri, Panjtarni, Baltal, Brarimarg, Sangam & Holy Cave and at Jammu Province i.e. Lakhanpur, Chhan Arorian, Chichi Mata Temple Samba, Base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, Chenani, Jakhani Udhampur, Batote and Ramban.

Sh. Amarnath Ji Yatra commenced from 02-07-2015 and concluded on 29-08-2015. All the SDRF teams who have undergone specialized Courses had been deployed with well equipped rescue equipments and tents, First Aid Boxes with first aid material, sleeping bags, oxygen cylinders, shovels, pick axes, ropes, blankets etc. to tackle any eventuality. Moreover, SDRF rescue vehicles and ambulances had also been deployed round the clock at base camps Baltal, Phalgam and Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. A mock drill exercise has also been conducted by SDRF personnel at base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on 29-06-2015 in which Sh. Piyush Singla, IAS Addl. Deputy Commissioner Jammu was present and reviewed the arrangements of Shri. Amarnath Ji Yatra -2015.




CD/SDRF POONCH RESCUED CIVILIANS AND THEIR CATTLE DURING FLASH FLOOD

Civil Defence and SDRF team Poonch conducted rescue operations in river at Bawli & Kalai Poonch on 25-06-2015. During the rescue operations, six civilians and their nine cattle who were trapped in flash flood were rescued safely by the CD/SDRF rescue team. Moreover, CD/SDRF team also conducted rescue operation at Timra Mandi on 21-06-2015 when a Tata sumo trapped under flash flood. The rescue team recovered two dead bodies and rescued one injured person safely from flash flood while dead body of a child was recovered by the team after nineteen days of the incident.



SDRF UDHAMPUR RESCUED INJURED PERSONS DURING ROAD ACCIDENT

On 08-07-2015, SDRF rescue team stationed at Jakhani Udhampur during SANJAY duty conducted a rescue operation where a Maruti car met with a road accident and evacuated four injured persons and recovered three dead bodies from a deep gorge. Moreover, SDRF team also launched a rescue operation at Kali Mata Mandir near Jakhani on 21-07-2015, where an Army Vehicle collided with truck in which an army driver who was trapped during the accident was safely rescued with the help of rescue equipments.



CIVIL DEFENCE/SDRF KATHUA CONDUCTED RESCUE OPERATION

CD/SDRF team Kathua on receiving information from PCR Kathua on 22-07-2015 that a young girl has drowned in Ujh canal near Kishanpur (Chhan Arrorian) reached on the spot and launched rescue operation and recovered the dead body of the girl namely Bandana Devi D/o Sh. Omparkash from the canal near Chandva Morh. Besides, a dead body of 10 years old girl was also recovered by SDRF team on 30-6-2015 who drowned in Ujh canal near Chhan Arorian. Further, on 03-04-2015 CD/SDRF rescue team Kathua with the help of local Police rescued nine civilians from flash flood who were trapped in Ujh river during flood and on 10-07-2015 rescued 31 labourers who were trapped at Tarnah nallah near Hiranagar during flash flood.



CIVIL DEFENCE IMPARTED TRAINING TO NCC CADETS

Civil Defence Srinagar organized one day Disaster preparedness training cum demonstration camp at Rangreth, Srinagar on 30-07-2015. During the camp, about 350 NCC cadets participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and Disaster Management skills. A live demonstration on rescue operation was also conducted by the Civil Defence/SDRF personnel on the occasion. Col Manoj Kumar, Capt. Pritpal Kaur, Warden Saqib Khushoo were present.



CIVIL DEFENCE VOLUNTEERS MANAGE TRAFFIC JUNCTIONS AT JAMMU

A contingent of around 50 CD Volunteers provided their services and assisted the Traffic Police Jammu to maintain smooth flow of traffic on the occasion of Road Safety Week w.e.f 17-01-2015. The public in general and motorists in particular were highly appreciated the CD Volunteers, who even helped the old-aged persons to cross the roads.

On 18/6/2015, a blood donation camp was organized at Ind Swift laboratories SIDCO in which 62 factory workers donated blood.



CIVIL DEFENCE ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED AT BANDIPORA:

On 27-04-2015, CD Bandipora organised one day CD awareness camp at District Police Line Bandipora. During the camp 100 Police personnel participated and were briefed about Civil Defence and Disaster Managemnet by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, Civil Defence Bandipora also organized basic training camps in Bandipora at ITI Bandipora w.e.f 06-04-2015 to 10-04-2015, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Bandipora w.e.f 20-04-2015 to 24-04-2015, at Islamic Higher Secondary School, Garoora, Bandipora w.e.f 07-05-2015 to 11-05-2015, and at ICDS Project Bandipora w.e.f. 19-05-2015.

During these camps, about 500 students/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first aid and disaster management by the CD and SDRF instructors. Demonstrations on rescue operations were also conducted on the occasions by the experts.


HAJJ YATRA DUTY:

During the month of August 2015, around 50 Homeguard personnel have performed Hajj duty at Hajj house Bemina on the eve of Hajj- 2015. The volunteers have assisted the Hajj pilgrims and similarly on the arrival of Hajjies from Sudia Arabia, around 40 Homeguard volunteers performed Hajj duty at International Airport Srinagar.



ADGP CONVENED REVIEW MEETING:

During the month of October 2015, ADGP Sh. L. Mohanti, IPS after taking over the charge of ADGP HG/CD & SDRF J&K on 14-10-2015 took a detailed review meeting of all Divisional Heads and District Heads of Homeguards, Civil Defence and SDRF of Kashmir Division. The officers present in the meeting gave power point presentation of their activities and their responsibilities as well as other important issues.



SDRF ACTIVITIES/ RESCUE OPERATIONS CARRIED OUT IN KASHMIR PROVINCE FROM JAN-2015 TO NOV -2015

During blockage of phuktal river in Kargil and subsequent diversion of water to the plams in March 2015, the SDRF team Kargil conducted rescue / relief operations and evacuated people from vulnerable residential areas of Zanskar sub-division to safer places, accommodated them in schools and other Govt. buildings.

In the wake of incessant rains in Kashmir valley during March-2015, the SDRF carried out various rescue measures throughout valley in the affected areas. More than 50 families were evacuated and shifted to safer places from the inundated areas in Braripora Bemina. Similar rescue operations were conducted by respective SDRF teams in Lolab (Kupwara), Singbagh (Baramulla).

Similarly, rescue operations were conducted when the D coy Hqrs of CRPF 164-Bn at Mangam Kulgam got inundated in rain water. The CRPF personnel were rescued / evacuated safely by SDRF team Kulgam.

Six dead bodies sunk beneath the debris of landslides at Laden in District Budgam during March-2015 were retrieved by SDRF teams after conducting search operations. A child at Khanyar was drowned in a foul smelling contaminated water body and SDRF team rushed to the spot but the child had breathed his last. However, the dead body of the child was retrieved by the SDRF men after hard efforts.

A cloud burst occurred at Baltal during SANJY 2015 in July. The SDRF teams undertook rescue measures and evacuated yatries and local pony operators to the safer places.

Healthy Baby Competition was conducted on 17th Sep2015 on the eve of 26th J&K Police Public Mela-2015 among wards of lower rank Police personnel (SPO to HC) falling between age group o6 months to 02 years. The competition was held among wards in two groups, 1st group was 06 months to one year of age and 2nd group from one year to two years. Cash prizes @ Rs 5000/-, Rs 3000 & Rs 2000/- were awarded to the winners of each group who secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd position respectively. The cash prizes were awarded to the winner wards by Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K Shri Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on the day of mela 20th Sep-2015 at Baskshi Stadium Srinagar. The event was organized by Chairperson PWWA.

In addition to above three gaming events viz Basket Ball, Ring the Duck and Hit the wicket were also conducted by the SDRF 1st Bn on the day of mela at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar in which the children in general who visited the venue participated. More than four hundred prizes were given out to the winning participants.

Rescue activities were also carried out by the SDRF component deployed in District Budgam when an IAF air craft crashed in Soibugh area of the district.

A cloud burst resulted in washing away a portion of Srinagar-Leh NHW at Kullan Ganderbal on 17-7-2015 in which about 200 houses got damaged. The SDRF Team deputed from Srinagar together with SDRF component Ganderbal carried out rescue activities in the area.
A building collapsed at Karan Nagar Srinagar and bodies of two persons which got trapped under the debris of the collapsed house were retrieved by SDRF team headed by Commandant SDRF 1st Bn.

In Oct-2015 one student got drowned in power canal at Kangan (while on excursion with the School from Srinagar). The SDRF team Ganderbal conducted search operations and after strenuous efforts recovered and fished out the body from the said canal at Kitchipora.

SDRF personnel assisted the pilgrims during Sh.Armarnath Ji Yatra -2015 at Srinagar

Ten SDRF camps were established during Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra- 2015 from Nunwan to Holy Cave and Baltal to Holy Cave at various incident prone zones viz Baltal, Brari Marg, Sangam, Chandanwari, Pissu Top, Sheeshnag, Jogibal Nagakoti, MG Top and Panchterni with sufficient number of SDRF personnel and Rescue equipment/ emergency medicine/ First Aid & dressing material/ oxygen cylinders along the entire route up to holy cave from both sides for assistance of pilgrims. During the course of Yatra a large number of pilgrims were rescued, provided first aid and shifted to hospital for treatment.

On 7.9.2015 the SDRF team Baramulla retrieved body of a girl aged 06 years who fell in a well of 60 feet depth at Kanlibagh Baramulla.

Shri Ab Waheed Shah, SSP Comdt.SDRF 1st Bn. Srinagar also participated during swimming cum boat rowing course held at SKICC Dal Lake Srinagar
Fifteen days swimming cum boat rowing course has been organized by Commandant SDRF 1st Bn, Shri Ab. Waheed Shah, SSP, for the SDRF personnel at SKICC (Dal Lake) Srinagar with effect from May-2015. Ten batches of the said course have undergone till 17th October, 2015 in which (171) personnel of SDRF 1st Bn have been trained in swimming / boat rowing. The training has been suspended till winter season is over.

One day awareness cum training camp on Disaster preparedness has been conducted at Burn Hall School, Srinagar on 28th Nov.-2015 in which students and staff members of the institution participated. Demonstrations and lectures were delivered by SDRF Instructors.

Civil Defence Jammu: Civil Defence Jammu conducted awareness cum demonstration camps in district Jammu at various places like Fortune Hotel, Samadian Road, Jewel, Jammu on 25-08-2015, at Govt. College for women Gandhi Nagar Jammu on 28-08-2015, at BEE-ENN Charitable Trust Talab Tillo Jammu w.e.f. 09-09-2015 to 14-09-2015, at Bhagya Laxmi Trust Rehari Jammu on 15-09-2015, at Forest Training School Dommi on 21-09-2015, at Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School Nagrota Jammu on 23-09-2015, at Janipur Colony on 01-10-2015, at Govt. College for women Jammu on 02-10-2015, at MIER College of education Jammu on 03-10-2015, at Bahu Fort Mandir Jammu on 17-10-2015, at RCDCC Jammu on 27-10-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about Civil Defence activities and disaster management techniques by the Civil Defence and SDRF instructors under the supervision of Smt.Tajinder Kour, Dy.SP Dy.Controller Civil Defence Jammu.

Girls Hr.Sec.School Bakshi Nagar Jammu w.e.f. 07-10-2015 to 12-10-2015, at Shishu Vidya Mandir High School Rani Talab Digiana Jammu w.e.f. 13-10-2015 to 17-10-2015, at Vishwa Bharti Hr.Sec. School Akalpur Udhaywala Jammu w.e.f. 26-10-2015 to 30-10-2015, at Govr. Hr.Sec.School Dewan Badhri Nath Mandir Jammu w.e.f. 04-11-2015 to 09-11-2015, at New Plot Jammu w.e.f. 10-11-2015 to 15-11-2015, Govt. College for women w.e.f. 20-11-2015 to 26-11-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/ civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first-aid, fire-fighting and rescue operation by the Civil Defence and SDRF instructors. CD demonstrations on rescue operations were also conducted among the participants on the occasions. Besides Civil Defence wardens/ volunteers alongwith SDRF personnel also performed Navratra’s duty at Bahu Fort Temple Jammu w.e.f. 13-10-2015 to 22-10-2015.

Civil Defence Samba: Civil Defence Samba organized a large number of awareness cum demonstration camps in district Samba at various places like Village Phakri Samba on 20-08-2015, at Village Kumi Samba on 29-09-2015, at village Darue Samba on 06-10-2015, at village Moregarh Samba on 12-10-2015, at village Chumbian Samba on 19-10-2015, at Indo-swift factory Sidco complex Samba on 27-10-2015, at Badla Deon Samba on 23-11-2015, at Nangal Samba on 27-11-2015, at Der Garh Samba on 30-11-2015. During these camps, a large number of civilians participated and were briefed about the disaster management and role of Civil Defence during disaster by the CD/ SDRF experts under the supervision of Sh.Ashutosh Sharma, Dy.SP Dy.Controller CD Samba.

CD Samba also conducted 04 weeks Disaster Response training programme at DPL Samba w.e.f. 26-10-2015. During the camp, district Police Personnel were acquainted with various disaster management activities and also briefed on the topic of ‘Medical First Responder & Collapse Structure Search and Rescue’ by the experts. On the occasion Sh.Karambir Singh, Dy.SP DAR Samba was also present.

Civil Defence Samba conducted 05 days training camps at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Samba w.e.f. 06-11-2015 and also launched three rescue operations during road accidents in Samba at Ramgarh Vijaypur on 26-08-2015, at Chichi Mata on 18-10-2015 and at NHW Bridge Nanka Chack Samba on 14-11-2015. The CD/SDRF rescue teams reached on the spot and launched rescue operations in which injured persons were provided first aid and were shifted to District Hospital by the team with the help of district Police and civilians.

Civil Defence Rajouri: Civil Defence Rajouri organised awareness cum demonstration camps in district Rajouri at various places like Govt. Hospital Rajouri on 18-08-2015, Govt. Hr. Sec. School Kalakote on 28-08-2015, Panchyat Halqa Tendwal on 09-09-2015, Panchyat Ghar Darhal Malkan on 03-10-2015, Dasal Jattan Rajouri on 04-10-2015, Drahal on 07-11-2015, Elite Public School Saaj on 14-11-2015, Brow Tata Pani Kalakot on 17-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence and disaster management by the CD/SDRF experts. Civil Defence volunteer/wardens of district Rajouri were also deployed with local Police for duty during Independence day, Dussehra, Islamic conference, Anti drug rally, Ganeshji Mahusava Jhanki conducted in Rajouri.

CD Rajouri also organised five days basic CD training camps at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Budhal w.e.f 01-09-2015 to 07-09-2015, at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Kandi. w.e.f 08-09-2015 to 12-09-2015, at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Dhangri w.e.f. 27-10-2015 to 31-10-2015, Govt.Hr.Sec.School Dhari Leyot, Rajouri w.e.f. 04-11-2015 to 09-11-2015 and at Govt. High School Rajouri w.e.f. 16-11-2015 to 20-11-2015. Civil Defence Kathua: Civil Defence Kathua organised awareness camps in Kathua at various places like Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Kathua on 10-09-2015, Govt. Middle School Changran Kathua on 14-09-2015, Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School Shiv Nagar Kathua on 18-09-2015, Kids Heaven Convent Hr.Sec.School Shiva Nagar Kathua on 19-10-2015, Govt. Middle School Kali Bari Kathua on 16-11-2015, Cosmic Heart Hr.Sec.School on 26-11-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/staff members participated and were briefed about the disaster management and role of Civil Defence during disaster by the CD and SDRF experts under the guidance of Sh.Naresh Singh Chib, DySP Dy.Controller CD Kathua.

Civil Defence Kathua conducted 05 days basic CD training camps at Govt. High School Lohai (Billawer) w.e.f 14-09-2015 to 18-09-2015, at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Kathua w.e.f. 27-10-2015 to 31-10-2015 in which a large number of students/ staff participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by CD and SDRF instructors. Civil Defence and SDRF team Kathua also launched three water rescue operations at Ravi River near Jarrai, Kathua on 11-09-2015, at Ujh River near village Gudu Falal (Billawer) on 22-09-2015 and at Sahar Khad near village Nagri Kathua on 24-09-2015.

Civil Defence Akhnoor: Civil Defence Akhnoor organised awareness camps in CD town Akhnoor at various places like Ward No. 13 Akhnoor on 05-08-2015, Sungal Morh Akhnoor on 12-08-2015, Ward No. 7, Bazgair Colony Akhnoor on 27-08-2015, Kot Ghari, Akhnoor on 03-09-2015, Ward no. 01 Akhnoor on 10-09-2015, Ambanran Akhnoor on 19-09-2015, Tanda Akhnoor on 23-09-2015, Krangi Akhnoor on 05-10-2015, Kashmiri Mohala Akhnoor on 13-10-2015, Sohal Akhnoor on 20-10-2015 and Sungal Akhnoor on 29-10-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/ civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and training i.e. fire-fighting, first-aid and rescue operations by the CD / SDRF instructors. Moreover, CD town Akhnoor also organised five days CD training camp at Ward No.12 Shanti Colony Akhnoor w.e.f. 19-8-2015 to 24-8-2015 in which about 60 CD volunteers were imparted basic training in various disaster management techniques and rescue operations by the CD and SDRF experts.

Civil Defence Reasi: Civil Defence Reasi organised awareness camps in district Reasi at Govt. High school Serla Bhaga Reasi on 25-08-2015, at Govt. High School Sersundwend Reasi on 28-08-2015, at Panchayat Ghar, Bakal, Sarsundwan Reasi on 13-09-2015, at Child Development project Poni Reasi on 18-09-2015, at Govt. Middle School Ser Meghan Reasi on 21-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about civil defence and disaster management trainings like first aid, fire-fighting and rescue operation etc by the CD/SDRF experts. Civil Defence Reasi also conducted various meetings with CD wardens.

Civil Defence Udhampur: Civil Defence Udhampur organised awareness camps in Udhampur at Panchari on eve of Sankri Devta Mela w.e.f 08-09-2015 to 10-09-2015, at Govt. Girls Middle School Jakhani Udhampur on 27-10-2015, at Gujjar Hostal Udhampur on 29-10-2015, at DPL Udhampur on 13-11-2015, at Omala Udhampur on 20-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence skills and Disaster Management techniques by the CD and SDRF experts. Civil Defence Udhampur also organized five days CD training camp at Gujar Hostel Jakhani Udhampur w.e.f. 02-11-2015 to 06-11-2015 in which about 49 people participated and were imparted CD training in first aid, fire-fighting and rescue operation. Civil Defence Udhampur also conducted search and rescue operation during drowning of a person in river Tawi at Sarmoli Udhampur on 30-08-2015.

Civil Defence Sunderbani: Civil Defence Sunderbani organised awareness camps in Sunderbani at Govt. High School Thanda Pani Sunderbani on 20-08-2015, at Raghu Rishi Shiksha Kender School Bakhar Sunderbani on 23-09-2015, at Govt. High School Kalideh Sunderbani on 27-10-2015 at CDPO office Sunderbani on 16-11-2015. During these camps, a large number of students participated and were acquainted with importance of Civil Defence and disaster management by the CD/SDRF experts. CD wardens/volunteers of Sunderbani also performed Independence Day duty.

CD Sunderbani also organised five days CD training camp at Panchayat Halqa Bakhar Sunderbani w.e.f. 17-9-2015 to 22-09-2015, at CDPO office Sunderbani w.e.f. 21-11-2015 to 27-11-2015 in which a large number of civilians participated and were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first aid and rescue operations by the CD and SDRF experts. Civil Defence team Sunderbani also assisted local police during a road accident took place at Bakhar Sunderbani on 13-09-2015.

Civil Defence Nowshera: Civil Defence Nowshera organised awareness camps in CD town Nowshera at Phanchyat Ghar Dabbar Potha Nowshera in collaboraton with women development corporation on 22-08-2015 and at Govt. High School Hanjana, Nowshera on 31-10-2015, at Govt. Middle School Chowki Hundan, Nowshera on 26-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence and disaster management by the CD/SDRF experts. Moreover, CD Nowshera also organised 05 days CD basic training camp at Laroka Nowshera w.e.f 22-09-2015 to 28-09-2015 in which 50 local people participated and were imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation. Civil Defence Nowshera also conducted rescue operation with the help of Fire Service Nowshera at ward No. 11 Nowshera during an incident of leakage of gas cylinder in the house of one Sh.Narian Dutt on 27-09-2015.

Civil Defence Kishtwar: Civil Defence Kishtwar organised awareness camps in district Kishtwar at Sangram Bhatta Kishtwar on 03-08-2015, at Huller Kishtwar on 12-08-2015, at Sir Iqbal Academy High School Kishtwar on 07-09-2015, at Panchyat Halqa prchhal Kishtwar, at Sargwari Thakerie on 12-10-2015, at Panchyat Halqa Sarthal Kishtwar on 01-11-2015, at Pochall Kishtwar on 14-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/ local people participated and were briefed about Civil Defence basic trainings like fire fighting, first aid and rescue operations.

Civil Defence Kishtwar also organized five days CD training camps at Dhrabshalla Kishtwar w.e.f. 01-11-2015 to 05-11-2015 and at Panchayat Dugga Dhrabshalla Kishtwar w.e.f. 26-11-2015 to 30-11-2015 in which a large number civilians participated and were imparted CD basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations.

Civil Defence Doda: Civil Defence Doda organized five days CD basic training camps in various places of Doda like at Boys Hr. Sec. Doda w.e.f 17-08-2015 to 24-08-2014, at Govt. Hr. Sec. Scholl Berarru w.e.f. 27-08-2015 to 02-09-2015, at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Gandoh w.e.f 14-09-2015 to 18-09-2015, at Govt. Hr.Sec.School Chiralla w.e.f. 17-10-2015 to 23-10-2015, at Govt. ITI Doda w.e.f. 23-11-2015 to 28-11-2015, at DPL Doda w.e.f. 23-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilian participated and were imparted CD basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation during disaster by the CD/ SDRF experts. Civil Defence Doda also organised awareness camp at Halka Panchyat Bhaboor Doda on 29-08-2015, at lower Bun Doda on 12-11-2015, at Nalwah Doda on 30-11-2015 in which a large number of civilians participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence and disaster management.

Civil Defence Poonch: Civil Defence Poonch organised awareness camps in district Poonch at Panchyat Ghar Nagali Poonch on 20-08-2015, at Govt. Girls High School Khenater on 08-10-2015. During these camps, a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and trainings i.e. fire-fighting, first-aid and rescue operations by the CD and SDRF experts. Civil Defence Poonch conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Surenkot Poonch w.e.f. 14-9-2015 to 18-9-2015 and at Govt.High School Gali Kalaban Mendar Poonch w.e.f. 26-11-2015 to 28-11-2015 in which about 200 students participated and were imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD and SDRF instructors. SDRF Poonch also conducted rescue operation at Phakproo near Kalai Bridge Poonch on 21-08-2015 during flash flood.

Civil Defence Ramban: Civil Defence Ramban organized one day CD awareness camp at Ramban on 21-09-2015 in which about 150 civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence. CD Ramban also organsied five days CD training camp at Panchayat Kunfer Chanderkot Ramban w.e.f. 23-11-2015 to 28-11-2015 in which local people were imparted basic training in first aid, fire-fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF personnel.

Civil Defence Srinagar: Civil Defence Srinagar organised basic CD training camps in Srinagar at Govt. College for women Srinagar w.e.f 04-09-2015 to 10-09-2015 and at Hqrs SSB 48th Battalion Rengreth w.e.f 16-09-2015 to 21-09-2015, at PCR Srinagar w.e.f. 23-11-2015 to 28-11-2015. During these camps, about 900 students/civilians/defence personnel participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD and SDRF instructors under the supervision of Dy.Controller Civil Defence Srinagar. CD Srinagar also organised CD awareness camps in Srinagar at Dhara Harwan on 04-08-2015, at Nehru Park on 22-08-2015, at SKIMS Soura Srinagar on 09-09-2015, at Dal Lake Srinagar on 21-09-2015 in which a large number of people participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and Disaster management skills. Further, CD Srinagar also organized first aid cum blood donation camp at Alamgari Bazar Srinagar on 24-10-2015. Civil Defence wardens/volunteers performed traffic duty at various places of Srinagar District viz Dalgate, Chesmashi, Habak Crossing, Lalchowk w.e.f 01-08-2015 to 30-08-2015. CD Srinagar also performed Independence Day 2015 duty at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar on 15-08-2015 and Eid duty at Sonwar Srinagar on 25-09-2015. Civil Defence Srinagar also launched cleanness and sanitation drive at Nishat on 07-10-2015.

Civil Defence Anantnag: Civil Defence Anantnag conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at CD conference Hall Anantnag w.e.f 24-08-2015 to 29-08-2015, at Florence Medical institute KP Road Anantnag w.e.f 22-09-2015 to 26-09-2015, at Nursing School Janglat Mandi Anantnag w.e.f 29-10-2015 to 03-10- 2015. During these camps a large number of studens/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD and SDRF instructors.

Civil Defence Anantnag organised awareness camps in Anantnag at Govt. High School Qazigund on 01-08-2015, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Dialgam Anantnag on 25-08-2015, at Govt. High School Shamuspora on 09-09-2015, at Hr. Secondary School Larnoo on 13-10-2015, at Govt. AMT College Janglatmundi on 05-11-2015, at Govt.Degree College Kokernag on 18-11-2015 and at Florence Paramedical Institute on 21-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/staff members participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and disaster management techniques by the CD/SDRF experts under the supervision of Dy.Controller Civil Defence Anantnag.

Further, Civil Defence Anantnag also conducted a Mock Drill Exercise at Sports Stadium Mattan on 28-10-2015. CD Anantnag conducted rescue operation at Sangam Bijbihara on 01-10-2015 and fished out dead body of a laborer of RAMKY construction agency who had drowned.

Civil Defence Baramulla: Civil Defence Baramulla organised CD awareness camps in Baramulla at Govt. High School Shamuspora on 09-09-2015, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Palipora on 06-10-2015, at PTS Sheeri Baramulla on 2-3/11/2015, at Darul Huda Sadiqua Nowpora Jagir Baramulla on 19-11-2015. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and disaster management techniques by the CD /SDRF instructors under the supervision of Dy.Controller CD Baramulla. Moreover, Civil Defence Baramulla also organized five day CD training camps at Govt. Higher Secondary School Hardushoora Tangmarg w.e.f 12-10-2015 to 26-10-2015, at Hakim Sonnaullah Paramedical Science & Technology Mazbugh Sopore w.e.f 17-10-2015 to 21-10-2015 in which students/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD / SDRF instructors.

Civil Defence Baramulla also conducted first aid medical camps at Delina and Pattan Baramulla on 21-10-2015 and 23-10-2015 respectively. Moreover, CD Baramulla also launched rescue operation at Kanilbagh Baramulla on 07-09-2015.

Civil Defence Pulwama: Civil Defence Pulwama organised five days CD training camps in Pulwama at Noorpora Tral w.e.f 07-08-2015 to 12-08-2015, Padgampora w.e.f 17-08-2015 to 21-08-2015, at Noorpora w.e.f 14-09-2015 to 18-09-2015, at Pastuna Tral w.e.f 15-10-2015 to 20-10-2015. During these camps, a large number of people participated and were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first aid and rescue operation by the experts. Civil Defence Pulwama also organised CD awareness camp at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore on 22-09-2015 and first aid camp at Gangoo Pulwama during the Mohram Procession on 24-10-2015.

Civil Defence Budgam: Civil Defence Budgam organised five days CD training camps at Higher Secondary School Khag w.e.f 10-08-2015 to 17-08-2015, at Qumiroo Beerwah Budgam w.e.f 27-10-2015 to 31-10-2015, at Village Qumiroo Beerwah on 02-11-2015, at Sonpah Beerwah Budgam on 10-11-2015 in which a large number of students/ civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD and SDRF instructors under the supervision of Dy.Controller CD Budgam.

Civil Defence Budgam organized Civil Defence awareness camps in Budgam at Middle School Labertal Budgam on 02-10-2015, Gulshan education institute Sholipora Budgam on 03-10-2015, Hardu Panzoo Budgam on 21-10-2015, at Arizal Khansahib Budgam on 23-10-2015, at Hardu Panzoo Budgam on 21-11-2015, at Chakeer Batpora Beerwah on 26-11-2015, in which a large number of Students and General public participated and were briefed about importance of Civil Defence.

Civil Defence Budgam also conducted medical camps at Khanda Budgam on 22-10-2015, at DC office Budgam on 24-10-2014, at Magam Budgam on 25-10-2015, at Hardu Panzoo Khansahib Budgam on 26-10-2015, at Mamgund Budgam on 28-10-2015. Civil Defence also conducted rescue operation at Soibugh Budgam on 24-08-2015.

Civil Defence Uri: Civil Defence Uri conducted 05 days basic CD training camps at Govt. Boys High School Nambla Uri w.e.f. 18-08-2015 and Govt. High School Salamabad w.e.f. 15-11-2015 to 19-11-2015 in which about 100 students participated and were imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors. Moreover, Civil Defence Uri also conducted one day CD awareness camp at Govt. Degree College Uri on 17-10-2015 in which about a large number of students participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster.

Civil Defence Kupwara: Civil Defence Kupwara conducted CD awareness camps at District Police Line Kupwara on 09-10-2015 & on 23-10-2015 and at Govt. Higher School Gulmarg Kupwara on 28-10-2015 in which a large number of Police personnel and students participated respectively. The participants were acquainted with Civil Defence activities and disaster management techniques by the CD and SDRF instructors.

Civil Defence Kargil: Civil Defence Kargil organized awareness camps in Kargil at Sub-Division Chicken on 05-11-2015, at Village Choskore on 09-11-2015 and at Sub-Division Tai-Suru on 10-11-2015 in which a large number of people participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and Disaster Management activities. Moreover rescue operations also conducted by SDRF personnel at various places of Leh-Ladakh.
