VISIT OF COMMANDANT GENERAL (HG/CD & SDRF)-J&K AT SDRF-2ND BN. JAMMU

Sh. VK Singh IPS DGP Commandant General Homeguards, Civil Defence & SDRF-J&K visited SDRF-2nd Bn., Jammu on 10-11-2018 and inspected "Guard of Honour" and also held Darbar of all ranks of SDRF and Homeguard volunteers at the Bn Headquarters. At the outset of the Darbar, the Commandant SDRF- 2nd Bn. Smt. Rashmi Wazir, SSP, welcomed the Commandant General HG, CD & SDRF- J&K and briefed about the role of SDRF personnel during disaster. Sh. Vikas Gupta, SSP, I/C DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu/Director Homeguards Jammu, Sh. Ranjit Kanwar, SSP, SO (Trainings) to ADGP HG, CD & SDRF-J&K and other officers/officials posted at Bn. Hqrs. as well as Directorate of HG, CD & SDRF were also present during the Darbar. Some of the Jawans reported their long pending genuine problems with regard to their promotion, release of grade pay, adjustment and other related matters. The DGP gave patient hearing to each & every official and assured them that their genuine problems will be looked into on priority. During his address Sh.V.K. Singh, IPS impressed upon the participants to dedicate their expertise and skills to meet out any kind of eventuality either natural or manmade so that life and property is saved. He appreciated their contribution during the Amarnath Yatra Duty.


 

CONFERENCE/ WORKSHOP ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT HELD ON 14-09-2018 AT RCDCC JAMMU

Civil Defence Wardens Conference / Workshop on role of wardens, before ,during and after disaster was conducted at RCDCC, Parade Jammu. Sh. Vikas Gupta, SSP, I/C DIG HG/CD SDRF Jammu was the Chief Guest, Smt. Rashmi Wazir, SSP, Commandant SDRF-2nd Bn Jammu was the Guest of Honour while Smt. Anita Pawar, Dy.SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu closely supervised the programme.

The Chief Guest, Sh. Vikas Gupta emphasised upon the participants that disaster keeps no calendar & place, so wardens should always be ready to meet any eventuality. He said that global warming has changed the entire natural environment of the world, so the civil society must be made aware about the disasters and how to minimise the effects of disaster. He further advised that awareness campaign must be conducted in every region of the state.

The Chief Guest also pinned the "DGCD Medal" and "Disc" presented to Thakur Ranjit Singh, Dy. Chief Warden CD Jammu for his outstanding performance. Moreover Dr. S.K Pandita, Professor of Geology , Jammu University, Dr. Naveen Hakhoo, Asstt. Prof. & Dr. Deepak Kumar of SSH Jammu gave lecture on the topic "Disaster and its Management". Smt. Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu also spoke on the objective of conference and role of wardens. Representatives from NDRF and SDRF have also shared their experiences with the invitees.

SDRF PERSONNEL AND HOMEGUARDS / CIVIL DEFENCE VOLUNTEERS DEPLOYED FOR SHRI AMARNATH JI YATRA DUTY-2018

A large number of Homeguards, Civil Defence Wardens / Volunteers and SDRF personnel alongwith officers were deployed for "Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra duty-2018" at various important places in Kashmir Province especially at Pahalgam, Chandanwari, Zojibal-Nagakoti, Sheshnag, Wavbal, MG Top, Poshpathri, Panjtarni, Baltal, Domail, Railpathri, Brarimarg, Y-Junction between Brarimarg & Lower Sangam, Sangam Top, Lower Holy Cave & Holy Cave besides in Jammu Province at Lakhanpur, Chann Arorian, Chichi Mata, Base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, Jakhani Park, Udhampur, Ramban, Ramsoo. The Yatra commenced from 28-06-2018 and concluded on 26-08-2018. All the SDRF teams who were specialised in Disaster Management were deployed with all Rescue Equipments, Tents, First Aid Kits and material, Sleeping Bags, Oxygen Cylinders, Shovels, Pick axes, Ropes, Blankets etc. to tackle any eventuality. The SDRF "Rescue Vehicles" and "CD Ambulances" were also deployed round the clock at base camps such as Baltal, Phalgam in Kashmir and Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. The SDRF and MRT personnel have provided oxygen and First Aid to large number of Yatries. They assisted thousands of yatries, especially who were sick and old-aged, at difficult tracks of the route during the Yatra period.


 

DRUG DE-ADDICTION CAMP

One day Drug De-addiction camp organised at Nishat Srinagar by Civil Defence Srinagar on
June 26, 2018

On 26-06-2018 one day drug de-addiction camp was organised by Civil Defence, Srinagar in collaboration of private schools association J&K at Mahajans Green Light Higher Secondary School Ishbar Nishat, Srinagar in which about 200 students and 50 staff members participated. Mr G N War President Private Schools Association Kashmir was the Chief Guest. Mr Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo and Mr Rahi Reyaz Ahmad, Chairman Ahsan Foundation J&K (As Guest of Honour) also attended the Camp.


 

FREE MEDICAL CAMP

"One Day Free Medical Camp" organized on 24-07-2018 by Civil Defence, Srinagar in collaboration of Zonal Medical Officer Batmaloo, Health and Hygiene Council PSAJK, World Health Improvement Programmes and Rehabilitation Organisation and Trauma Hospital Lawaypora Srinagar at Sharifabad HMT Srinagar. Hundred of patients attended/treated by the doctors and also free medicines were provided to all of them.


 

RESCUE OPERATIONS

SDRF component Pulwama conducted search/rescue operation for retrieving the dead body of drowned minor girl at Niklora Litter, Pulwama on June 6, 2018

The SDRF component Pulwama conducted Search/Rescue Operation on 06-06-2018 for retrieving the dead body of drowned minor girl in Nallah Rambi Ara at Niklora Litter Pulwama under the supervision of Dy. Controller CD Awantipora & SDRF Pulwama.


 

IMPORTANT EVENTS


LEH

(a) On 15-06-2018, CD / SDRF Leh conducted rescue operation at Indus River on receipt of information from PCR that one boy aged about 22 years had drowned while bathing at Choglamsar Indus River, Leh. The CD / SDRF, Leh alongwith rescue equipments reached the spot under the supervision of Dy. Controller CD / SDRF, Leh. After hectic efforts the dead body was retrieved and shifted to District Hospital, Leh.

(b) On the basis of information from Police Control Room Leh on 27-07-2018, the SDRF team alongwith rescue equipments conducted rescue operation at Stok Glacier to rescue one person namely Ruchika Gupta member of Adventure International Group. The patient was attended by the team as well as by doctors.

(c) On 18-06-2018, a "Grand Disaster" preparedness "Mock Drill Excercise" was conducted under the Chairmanship of DDMA / DC Leh which assembled at Emergency Control Room, District Hqrs. Leh alongwith all the District Officers / SDRF / Army / ITBP / BRO / Police and Public representatives. Also inspected the rescue equipments displayed by SDRF at EOC ground besides witnessed the function. The DY.Controller CD/SDRF Leh briefed participants regarding the functioning & use of rescue equipments at the time of need.


KATHUA

On 11-07-2018 at 1230 Hrs. an information was received from PCR Kathua that a person had drowned in Ravi Setu Dam at Basohli. The Civil Defence Kathua immediately dispatched SDRF rescue team alongwith necessary rescue equipments (from Chhan Arorian Camp) to the site of occurrence. The rescue team conducted search/rescue operation till late hours. On next day, information was received from Police Station Basohli that two unknown persons had drowned in the same Dam 08 kms. away from Basohli. During the search operation , one dead body of person namely Nikhil Kapoor S/o Gajinder Kapoor R/O Main Bazar Basohli, Age 21 years was fished out and later handed over to the family members (through local Police) for last rites.

Rescue Operation: On 23-09-2018 evening, an information was received from PCR Kathua that some persons had trapped in flash floods at Village Kateni in Bheeni Nallah (River) Billawar about 65 Kms. away from Kathua. On receipt of information,Dy.Controller CD Kathua and Inspr. Sunil Sharma alongwith SDRF rescue team rushed to the spot. Inspite of adverse weather condition like continuous rains, blockades by landslides and uprooted / fallen trees, the team reached at 9.30 PM on the spot. Due to darkness, heavy rain and flash floods, the rescue operation could not be continued further, however, as soon as the weather condition became favourable, the rescue operation was started and evacuated all the 11 family members of Gujjar Community including 07 children. The rescue operation conducted by SDRF team Kathua was highly appreciated by the local populace besides the civil administration.


KARGIL

(a) On 16-06-2018, a search operation was conducted by CD/SDRF Kargil at Sankoo Kargil in which a dead body was recovered from river "Suru".

(b) On 18-08-2018, CD/SDRF Kargil conducted search and rescue operation of a missing person namely Mohammad Hussain S/O Abdul Gani R/O Santhan Beghbehara, Anantnag who was driving a Santro car bearing Registration No. JK03A-5599 which met with a tragic accident on the intervening night of 17th / 18th August-2018 at Parkachik Gom (90 Kms. away from District Hqrs. Kargil) who slipped into the river "Suru". The SDRF team conducted a search operation for two days but could not trace the missing person.

KISHTWAR

The Rescue operation was conducted by SDRF Kishtwar alongwith District Police and local people under the supervision of Dy.SP Madan Lal on 14-09-2018 where a matador met with an accident and rolled down about 350 mtrs. towards Chenab River at Sheikh Dud Kishtwar. 16 injured persons were evacuated and shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar and also retrieved 17 dead bodies from the deep gorge.

DODA (THATHRI)

A Search Operation on 27-06-2018 was conducted at Prem Nagar (Thathri) Doda where a truck fell into the River Chenab. SDRF rescue team recovered one dead body of Driver from inside the truck and handed over to the concerned Police Station.

UDHAMPUR

SDRF personnel fished out one dead body from River Tawi near STC BSF Training Centre, Udhampur on October 7, 2018

The SDRF rescue team Udhampur conducted search operation on 07-10-2018 in River Tawi near STC BSF Training centre, where a dead body was fished out by the team after putting hard efforts during the whole night.

MOCKDRILL On 23-06-2018, the SDRF Udhampur conducted a joint "Mock drill Exercise" with Army, Police and Civil Administration at Garhi Udhampur. The main aim of the exercise was how to tackle/deal the situation during landslides or road accidents and evacuate the injured/dead bodies from the sites.

BUDGAM

Rescue Operation : (a) On 30-06-2018, the CD / SDRF Budgam conducted "Rescue Operation" in village Sharifabad Budgam and shifted the people to the safer places during flood like situation. The Sarpanch of the said village appreciated the SDRF/CD team Budgam for their remarkable job.

(b) One Day Awareness Camp: on 06-06-2018, CD/SDRF Budgam conducted "One Day Awareness Camp" on manmade disaster in Govt. High School Ompora District Budgam. The Headmaster, staff members, school students and other respectable citizens of the adjoining areas participated. Mock Drill Exercise were conducted and role of SDRF has also been highlighted. Dy Controller CD Budgam shared his experience and emphasised on the collective efforts to be made in case of any eventuality. He also appealed the general public to join the Civil Defence in the interest of the State.

ANANTNAG

MOCKDRILL (a) On 25-06-2018, the CD / SDRF team of Anantnag organised "One Day Mock Drill Excercise" at Nunwan and Chandanwari, Pahalgam Base Camp in presence of Sh. V.K Dutta, Maj.General (Retd.) NDMA, New Delhi.

(b) The SDRF / CD team of Anantnag conducted "Search and Rescue Operation" w.e.f: 25-07-2018 to 31-07-2018 to trace out 09 years old boy drowned in water at Aripath in River Jhelum at Anantnag.

(c) The SDRF / CD Anantnag conducted "02 days rescue operation" w.e.f. 07-09-2018 at Kolhai Glacier Pahalgam for tracing of trekking group in Kolhai glacier. Two dead bodies were lifted by Air force and other 07 persons were rescued by SDRF team and locals of the area.

On 19-10-2018, SDRF team Ramban conducted a mock drill exercise for the evacuation of the dead / injured persons from the site of incident at Mehar, Ramban.

JAMMU

Mock Exercise On 17-07-2018 a combined Mock Drill Exercise was conducted by SDRF / Fire & Emergency Services / Air Force at Technical Air Port Jammu on Disaster Management (Natural or Manmade) and during war like situations.

RESCUE OPERATION On 09-10-2018, SDRF team conducted search operation in "Ranbir Canal, Jammu" near Power House where a person was drowned and lateron retrieved the dead body.

05 DAYS TRAINING CAMP 05 Days Civil Defence Basic Training Camp was conducted at Sabzi Mandi, Narwal, Jammu w.e.f: 11-06-2018 to 15-06-2018 under the close supervision of Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. A live "Demonstration" was conducted in collaboration of SDRF personnel of SDRF-2nd Bn. Jammu. On this occasion Sh. AK Mansotra, Secretary Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC), Jammu and Sh. Rajesh Gupta, President, Fruit Merchant Association Jammu highly appreciated the programme.

(d) On 19-09-2018, Day-long Civil Defence Awareness / Demonstration programme was held at Middle Level Training Centre Mission ICDS, Social Welfare Department, Channi Himmat Jammu. Addressing the Social Welfare Department staff, Smt. Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu highlighted the role of Civil Defence and also shared her views regarding the importance of "First Aid, Do’s and Don’ts" during the Fire, Earthquakes and Disaster Management. Smt. Sadhana Jamwal, Principal of the Institute appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the staff and instructors for organising the awareness/demonstration programme.

(e) One Day Awareness / Demonstration Programme was held at NCC Camp, Nagrota which was organised by Civil Defence, Jammu. During the awareness camp, the NCC cadets were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Emergency methods of rescue, Fire Fighting alongwith demonstration by the Civil Defence Instructors. Col. S. K. Bajarnia, Commandant-J&K 1st Bn. NCC Srinagar and Lt. Col. B. S. Choudhary, NCC Camp Commander highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence staff and also advised the cadets to become good human beings and to serve the society by joining in such organisation. About 450 NCC cadets of Kashmir Province and staff members attended the awareness programme. Sh. Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden & Thakur Ranjeet Singh, Dy. Chief Warden, Civil Defence Jammu were also present on the occasion.

(f) Sanitation Drive at Sabzi Mandi Janipur, Jammu.

On 07-06-2018, the Civil Defence, Jammu in association with Jammu Municipal Corporation organised "Sanitation Drive" at Sabzi Mandi, Janipur, Jammu. The campaign was organised under the supervision of Smt. Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller CD Jammu. A large number of Civil Defence Wardens/Volunteers, representatives of Jammu Municipal Corporation and local people of the area participated in the drive. While speaking on the occasion, Dy. Controller CD Jammu highlighted the importance of the sanitation drive and impressed upon the participants to make it a habit to clean the area on regular basis. Local people of the area highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence volunteers for organising the sanitation drive.

05 Days CD Training Camps Civil Defence Samba conducted 05 Days Basic Training Camps at Govt. Middle School chachwal Samba w.e.f 11-06-2018 to 15-06-2018 and Govt. High School Sarthi Samba w.e.f 25-06-2018 to 29-06-2018 in which 106 students/staff participated and were imparted training in First Aid, Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD/SDRF instructors.

05 Days Civil Defence Training Camps organised at village Bardha Kalan Akhnoor w.e.f: 26-06-2018 to 01-07-2018, in which 50 Civilians participated were imparted training on Civil Defence skills.

One Day Awareness Camps :Civil Defence Nowshera organised "CD Awareness Camps" at Govt. Lower High School Kalal Nowshera on 30-07-2018, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Nowshera on 01-08-2018, Govt. High School Androoth Nowshera on 19-09-2018 and Govt. Girls High School Nowshera on 03-10-2018, During these camps, 350 Students / staff participated.

05 Days Civil Defence Training Camp was conducted at Village Thathi Nowshera w.e.f. 26-06-2018 to 30-06-2018 in which 30 civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence during Disasters.

School Rajouri on 15-10-2018 in which large number of Students/Staff/Civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence during Disasters.

05 Days Civil Defence Training Camps organised at village Rajnagar Gabar Budhal Rajouri w.e.f. 08-06-2018 to 12-06-2018 & Village Saaj Rajouri w.e.f 24-06-2018 to 28-06-2018 in which 94 students participated and were imparted training in First Aid, Fire fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD/SDRF instructors.

One Day Awareness Camps :Civil Defence Poonch organised " Awareness Camps" at Govt. High School Sakhi Mendhar Poonch on 27-07-2018, Govt. High School Schija Mankote Mendhar Poonch on 28-07-2018, Govt. High School Dara Daulin T Jucntion Poonch on 30-08-2018, Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Mandi Poonch on 01-09-2018, Govt. High School Sandot Mendhar Poonch on 18-09-2018, Govt. High School Sanai Surankote Poonch on 22-09-2018 and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidalya Balakot Poonch on 25-10-2018 in which 700 Students / Staff / Civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence during Disasters.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps: organised at Govt. High School Sanai Surankote Poonch w.e.f. 19-06-2018 to 23-06-2018 and Govt. Hr. Sec. School Bufliaz Surankote Poonch w.e.f. 26-06-2018 to 30-06-2018 in which 106 students of the institutes participated and were imparted training in First Aid, Fire fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD / SDRF instructors.

UDHAMPUR

One Day Awareness Camps :Civil Defence Udhampur organised "Awareness Camps" at various places like Happy Model Hr. Sec. School, Udhampur on 19-07-2018, Modern High School Dhanoori, Udhampur on 17-09-2018, DIET Kud, Udhampur on 26-10-2018, and Govt. Hr. Sec. School Barmeen, Udhampur 31-10-2018 in which 600 Students / Staff members participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence during Disasters.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps organised at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Panchari Udhampur w.e.f. 04-06-2018 to 09-06-2018 and SDRF component Udhampur w.e.f. 01-08-2018 to 06-08- 2018 in which 234 students of the institutes participated and imparted training in First Aid, Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD/SDRF instructors

One Day Awareness Camps: CD Srinagar organised "Awareness Camps" at various places in Srinagar District on 20-06-2018 at Tulmulla Ganderbal on the eve of Mela Kheer Bhawani, at Medical Voluntary Society Bemina Srinagar on 04-08-2018, at RCDCC Srinagar on 20-08-2018, 05-09-2018, 24-09-2018 & 24-10-2018. During these camps large number of students & civilians participated and were imparted training on First Aid, Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD/SDRF instructors of District Srinagar.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps: "05 Days Civil Defence Training" Programme was organized on 11-08-2018 at RCDCC Srinagar, on 30-08-2018 at RCDCC Srinagar, on 12-09-2018 at Emms Tiny Tots Institute Srinagar and at S.P College Srinagar on 01-10-2018.

One Day Awareness Camps : CD Budgam organised awareness camps at various places in Budgam District at Govt. High School on 26-06-2018, Govt. Higher Secondary School Shogpora on 11-07-2018, C D Lecture Hall Budgam on 30-07-2018 , Vision Public School Humhama Budgam on 20-08-2018, Beerwah at Govt Higher Sec. School Budgam on 22-09-2018, Panzan at Govt Higher Sec. School Chadoora Budgam on 25-09-2018, Govt Higher Sec School Waterhail Budgam on 15-10-2018 and Govt. High School Durbal Budgam on 16-10-2018.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps organised w.e.f. 16-04-2018 to 21-04-2018 in village "Paller Budgam", at Govt Boys High School w.e.f. 26-04-2018 to 02-05-2018 village Chandpora at ‘Govt. Boys High School’ w.e.f: 10-05-2018 to 15-05-2018 in village Khomani Chowk Bemina at Shah-i-Hamdan Educational Institute High School Budgam. Mock drill exercises were conducted and SDRF instructors also delivered lectures on Disaster Management.

One Day Awareness Camps CD Baramulla organised awareness camps at various places in Baramulla District on 28-06-2018 at Janbaz-1 Wali Collage Nadihal Baramulla, on 14-07-2018 at Police Public School Baramulla, on 18-07-2018 at Peoples Public School Wagoora Baramulla, on 10-08-2018 at Gujjar, Bakerwal Hostel Baramulla, on 10-08-2018 at PHC Bandi Baramulla, on 08-09-2018 at High School Budding Bloom Khawajabagh Baramulla, on 11-09-2018 at NPHC Bandipayeen, on 19-09-2018 at Sub- District Hospital Sopore which was attended by Asha Workers, on 09-10-2018 at PHC Rampor Rajpor Sopore, on 12-10-2018 at Sub District Hospital Chandoosa Baramulla and on 24-10-2018 at Anganwari Centre Duroo Sopore Baramulla.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps organized at DPL Baramulla w.e.f. 24-05-2018 to 29-05-2018 , at Govt Higher Sec. School Sopore w.e.f. 02-08-2018 to 06-08-2018 and at Iqra Public School Kalantra Wagoora Keeri w.e.f. 10-09-2018 to 14-09-2018 in which 150 CD volunteers were trained.

One Day Awareness Camps: CD Anantnag organised CD "Awareness camps" at various places in Anantnag District i. e. at Degree Collage Larnoo on 09-06-2018, at Civil Defence Conference Hall Anantnag on 25-06-2018, at CD Conference Hall Anantnag in collaboration with Hope and Disability Centre Anantnag on 20-08-2018, at Smart Mission High School Gassipora Wanpoh Anantnag on 28-08-2018, at Govt High School Veeri Bijbehara on 08-09-2018, at Govt. Higher Sec. School Furrah Mirbazar on 24-09-2018, at Govt High School Damjan Qazigund on 25-09-2018, and at Civil Defence Conference Hall Anantnag on 16-10-2018. During the training camps, a large number of students & Civilians participated and were imparted basic training in First Aid, Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD/SDRF instructors of District Anantnag.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps were organised at K.P. road Anantnag, w.e.f.:12-07-2018 to 18-07-2018 at CD Conference Hall Anantnag and w.e.f.:20-07-2018 to 25-07-2018 at ATM School Mattan, Anantnag.

PULWAMA/ AWANTIPORA

One Day Awareness Camps organised at Guru Nanak B.Ed College Awantipora on 31-07-2018, at Govt. High School Naina Batpora on 10-08-2018,at Govt. High School Goripora on 20-08-2018,at Govt. Higher Sec. School Arihal Pulwama on 06-09-2018, at Saidee Higher Sec School Payer Road Pulwama on 11-09-2018, at Igloo Public High School NowporaTral on 12-09-2018, at Syed Mantaqui Nursing College Awantiporaon 20-09-2018, and at Gadahanjipora Charsoo Awantipora on 22-09-2018.During the training camps a large number of Students, Civilians participated and were imparted basic training in First Aid, Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques during Earthquake and land slide by the CD/SDRF instructors.

05 Days CD Basic Training Camps: The Civil Defence organised Training Camps w.e.f.:. 21-04-2018 to 26-04-2018 at "Govt Higher Secondary school Panzgam Pulwama" w.e.f. 12-05-2018 to 18 -05-2018 at Islamia Model Public High School Dadsura Tral and 04-06-2018 to 09-06-2018 at Wasoora Pulwama in which 210 students/civilians were trained in various skills like First Aid & Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques.

KUPWARA

One Day CD Awareness Camps: CD Kupwara organised awareness camps at various places in Kupwara District on 19-06-2018 at Tiker Kupwara on the eve of Mela Kheer Bhawani, on 29-06-2018 at Suhipora Wuyan Kupwara, on 04-07-2018 at Degree College Kupwara, on 17-07-2018 at Degree College Sogam Kupwara, on 31-07-2018 at Govt Higher Sec. School Kupwara, on 15-09-2018 in DPL Kupwara, on 17-10-2018 at DPL Handwara and on 29-10-2018 at HG Wuyan. During the training camps,large number of Students/Staff members and Civilians participated.

Awareness Camps: CD Uri organised CD Awareness Camps at various places on 31-07-2018 at Govt. Higher Sec. School Uri on 29-08-2018 at Mini Stadium Club Uri and on 19-09-2018 at Govt. Degree College Uri. During the training camps, a large number of Students/ Staff Members and Civilians participated and were imparted basic training in First Aid, Fire Fighting and Rescue Techniques by the CD/SDRF instructors of Uri.

School Leh, on 29-07-2018, at Community Hall Tashi Gatsal Choglamsar Leh, on 01-09-2018 at Imamia Model High School Choglamsar Leh, on 06-09-2018, at Kendriya Vidyalaya Choglamsar Leh, on 10-09-2018, at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Leh, on 26-09-2018 at Central Institute of Buddhist Studies Deem University Leh, on 12-10-2018 at St. Peter School Choglamsar Leh, on 13-10-2018, at SNM hospital Leh and on 23-10-2018 at Moravian Mission School Leh. During these camps, a large number of Students/Staff Members and Civilians participated.

05 days basic CD training camp:- CD/SDRF Leh conducted "05 Days Basic Civil Defence Training Camp" w.e.f. 03-06-2018 to 07-06-2018 at Solar Colony Leh in which 64 newly enrolled Civil Defence volunteers were trained. During the programme, CD/SDRF experts delivered lectures on Disaster Management, its mitigation, prevention (like Fire Safety Precaution, First Aid, Bandaging, CPR, Splinting) and how to act swiftly during any Disaster.
